Raincatcher’s Veggie Team Update
"A garden feeds more than the table. It feeds the soul."
The Dallas County Master Gardeners who make up the Raincatcher’s Veggie Team had a marvelous time harvesting and donating over 41 pounds of okra, pumpkins, calabacitas, and assorted peppers to the Now-Forward food pantry. Mark Dinsel from Now-Forward was on hand to interview the team and take photographs for an upcoming article in their newsletter. After the harvest and tour of the garden, the team enjoyed a lovely potluck lunch under the shade structure. I, for one, am so grateful for this amazing team of volunteers that definitely “feeds my soul” every Monday morning.
If you have questions about your fall vegetable garden, please drop by any Monday morning (weather permitting) between 9:00 am- 11:00 am at 11001 Midway Road in Dallas, and we will do our best to help!
