The DCMGA 2026 Spring Garden Tour is Just Around the Corner!
The Dallas County Master Gardener Association is finalizing plans for the 2026 Spring Garden Tour, which will introduce a first-time location this May. Scheduled for Saturday, May 9th, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, the event will feature five private home gardens and two public landscapes. The North Oak Cliff area was selected as this year’s host location, showcasing featured gardens among the rolling topography and
impressive mature trees that define the historic neighborhood. While many residents are already familiar with the area, it is often surprising how many have yet to discover the hidden beauty of these unique landscapes.
All featured gardens are situated in close proximity to one another, allowing guests more time to relax and explore while minimizing travel time between destinations. Whether you are seeking visual inspiration for your own outdoor space or looking for practical ideas and solutions from some of the most dedicated and knowledgeable gardeners in Dallas, this tour offers something for every visitor. Attendees can expect to see a wide variety of functional designs, including poolside landscaping, full-shade gardening, and alluring havens specifically created for pollinators and birds.
Throughout the day, trained Master Gardener docents will be stationed at each garden to point out features of interest, answer questions, and provide plant identification and growing tips using Earth-Kind® practices. Expert speakers at each location will also provide brief lessons, and guests are invited to interact with the garden owners to learn the stories behind how their landscapes took shape. Specific plant lists will be available for each location to help visitors apply these ideas in their own backyards.
