Together we mourn the loss of two highly esteemed Dallas County Master Gardeners.

Will Smith was a proud member of the Class of 1999. He served as a mentor for many MG students and as the leader of the Farmers Branch Log Cabin project for many years. He is survived by his lovely wife and fellow MG, Judy from the Class of 1995.

Elaine Ackley was an alum from the Class of 2004. Over the years she shared her passion for monarchs and all insects with children and adults throughout the Dallas area.  She was also a faithful volunteer at Juliette Fowler Communities and the Texas Discovery Garden.

How lucky Dallas County MGs were to benefit from the good works of these very special volunteers.
