Some of you know that Dallas County Master Gardeners have been holding Japanese maple tree sales annually as a fundraiser.
Herbs are beautiful plants, and the vast variety of leaves is amazing.
The sale goes active at 8 a.m. on October 1st and continues until October 14th or until all trees have been sold.
It is time to freshen up those porch and patio containers you planted in the spring!
Nothing says spring like bright colorful flowers overflowing from containers and hanging baskets.
The front porch should be as inviting in the dreary winter days as it is in the spring, and fresh and lively containers are a wonderful way to say “welcome.”
The sale begins Friday, 10/7 at 7:00am and lasts until Wednesday, 10/13 at 9:00pm. Pickup is Thursday, 10/27 from 1:00-2:00pm.
It is so wonderful to approach a home and find a fresh and colorful container garden on the front porch. It is a positive indication that the homeowner enjoys their home and cares what neighbors, guests and passersby see when approaching the house.
I began collecting these glorious shade loving beauties at least twenty years ago, and there isn’t a single year when I don’t purchase one or two.
