Attention North Texas Growers and Winemakers, please join us for the first annual North Texas Grape and Wine Day April 21.
Spend half a day with us as we talk about grape growing and winemaking. The event is FREE but rsvp is required. We will be hosted at Hidden Hangar Vineyard and Winery in Denison.
The first half of the program will be dedicated to grapevine disease management and seasonal update.
The second half of the program will be led by Dr. Andreea Botezatus graduate student, Andrew Lyne, at Texas A&M University who will present his data and wines relating to Verjus. His data is showing great promise as a way to utilize verjus in Texas wineries to improve wine quality with a sustainble resource. A free tasting with wines made with and without verjus will be provided. We will also score these wines to provide feedback for Andrew.
