DCMG Tig Thompson received FIRST place honors as Outstanding Individual Master Gardener! A Master Gardener since 2001, he has earned over 22,000 volunteer service hours in a variety of roles- Director-at-Large, Project Leader at Texas Discovery Garden, overseer of the Volunteer Management System for Dallas County, mentor to scores of eager MG students- just to name a few.

In addition, Dallas County won THIRD place for their wonderful entry in the Workshop Presentation Category at the Texas State Fair, championed by past Director-at-Large of Community Outreach, Debbie Wood.
