Founders Garden Club Recognizes DCMG Roseann Ferguson

The mission of the Founders Garden Club of Dallas since it was established in 1938 is “to foster a deep appreciation for nature, promote sustainable gardening practices and beautify our Dallas community.” It is no wonder then that it recently recognized Dallas County Master Gardener (DCMG) Roseann Ferguson for her dedication to the Texas Discovery Gardens.

Roseann has given over 20,000 hours of service to the TDG Greenhouse that now bears her name. It is here that Roseann has been teaching the fundamentals of plant propagation to Dallas County Master Gardeners and the citizens of Dallas County and beyond. As she often says, “this is where the magic happens,” but what she doesn’t mention is that magic happens because of HER.

Roseann is also instrumental in propagating native and adapted plants for the TDG plant sales, with the next one being held April 11-13. To learn more, use this link:

Congratulations, Roseann, on this well-deserved recognition!

We are so privileged to learn from such a masterful educator!
