TDG Demo Garden Workday

2022 Work Days are held each Thursday: Jan- March (1-3 PM), April-May (10 AM-Noon), June-Oct (8:30 -10:30 AM), Nov-Dec (1-3 PM). Joe Elsener and Tig Thompson coordinate Work Days. We usually cancel Work Days on the 4th Thursday when DCMGA holds in-person Monthly Meetings . Work Day activity includes general garden maintenance, weeding, mulching, and planting .
Please bring basic gardening hand tools and gloves. Use the MLK Fair Park Gate 6 entrance to get to TDG. The Demonstration Garden is located adjacent to the fence near the TDG Butterfly House. Park in the TDG parking lot just east of the MLK (Gate 6) Entrance and walk across the street and enter through the small employee gate. You may also park by the Greenhouse and walk through the TDG grounds to the Demo Garden.

We would love to have you join us! Please email joe.elsener@gmail.com if you would like to volunteer and we will add you to our Work Day email list. We send a Work Day email Sunday evening before each Work Day so we can track expected volunteer headcount and provide Emergency Contact Forms and updated instructions throughout the year. We use this list to notify volunteers of any changes in schedule or cancellations due to weather.
